Anticipating trends:
HR and People Analytics

Hcmfront was founded on the idea that organizations should be able to digitally transform the management and development of their employees at an affordable price.

Our goal is to optimize the use of employee data to generate different perspectives (or fronts) from which it is possible to analyze the entire organization.

Our platform provides leaders with an overview of their employee data and the possibility to zoom in on different areas. From the opposite perspective, employees are able to see and edit their own data.

Each module represents multiple fronts, with which it is possible to get a general overview of the organization and generate Know-How that is shared and remains within the company.

At hcmfront there is a concept of "being ahead "of people management, which today is understood as being a leader and incorporating "hard" topics  such as artificial intelligence, digitalisation or metrics in environments that have traditionally been characterized as "soft".

The idea is to help managers and Human Resources to quantitatively show the impact they have on organizations, which is very difficult to measure.

This is the spirit of hcmfront: to support people and organizations in achieving their goals with data.

Where are we headed in the current times of COVID-19 and digitalization?

What was once too sophisticated or almost anecdotal, is now absolutely necessary in order to survive in today's environment.

The number of smart systems like ours will increase – as will the challenges of the workforce – so it is important for organizations to get on board of digital transformation.

The digitalization process will continue to accelerate post-covid: what was necessary yesterday, today is mandatory. Yet few organizations are prepared.

In light of this new reality, hcmfront becomes even more relevant: it guarantees the continuity of organizations through People Management, an area that has been lagging behind in the digitalization process, either because people don't feel comfortable with digital tools, or because they have not come across agile, easy-to-use solutions that can deal with something as complex as people.

    How it all began...

    "We started researching and wondering if there was a recruitment management system that would allow us to interview people without the need to be physically present at the interview. At the time I was recruiting people for another startup and needed to find a more efficient way", says the founder.

    Need for a big change

    Hirefront SpA was officially founded as 2 platforms: HireFront (Recruitment and Selection) and AdvanceFront (Organisational Development). However, we soon realised that all HR departments in Chile were analogous - there were no digital processes or traceability - and that we needed to create a more comprehensive management system.

    An important addition

    In November 2014 Nicolás Hanckes joined Hirefront SpA as Co-Founder, after having completed his engineering thesis on the automation of the recruitment and selection process and its impact on the costs and efforts of the recruitment process.

    New company name hcmfront

    With the new leadership of Nicolás Hanckes, current COO of hcmfront, the names HireFront and AdvanceFront were unified into a single platform called HCMFront. With a new and smaller team, we started to generate new clients and little by little we grew, reaching 5 clients by the end of the year.

    Our first modules

    We began to professionalize certain positions and started to see more commercial traction. Based on the knowledge and experience we acquired by working with our clients, we began to develop our first modules, which were: Employee File, Talent and Recruitment and Selection.

    A major prize
    In 2017, we won the Geek Camp award, a national and international incubation and acceleration program created by Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
     
    There was a selection process for those who presented their ideas for software development, applications, programs, among others. We were supported by CORFO through a SSAFF (Flexible Allocation Grant), allowing hcmfront to grow by 2 years per year.

    Expo Capital Humano 2018: Employee Experience

    We were the main sponsor of the event 'Human Capital Expo 2018: Employee Experience'. We highlighted the importance of HR technology, saying that digital transformation was happening, that this evolution was permanent and that it would support people's growth. We were definitely right.

    We were pioneers

    hcmfront is consolidated as the first integrated people management platform, integrating solutions to cover the entire employee life cycle. We also travelled to China, where we took part in the Innovation and Investment Summit in Beijing. Nicolás Hanckes represented us and received recognition from international companies for being a benchmark for Big Data in People Management.

    Our look changed...

    We modernized our image with the aim of generating closeness with a memorable logo and a drastic change – in line with the big changes we are currently going through.
